UKARA HOW WE BEGAN
UKARA has been established by former council members
of the British Sound Recording Association (BSRA)
since its cessation in 2014.
The former secretary, publication editor, membership secretary
and contest secretaries believed there was a need for a
much simpler association enabling past members of the
BSRA and new members to exchange ideas, advice and
recordings using internet communications.
When UKARA was established we were delighted that our long term friend Tony Faulkner agreed to become the President of UKARA.
Over the course of his 40 year career as a renowned engineer Tony has made more than two thousand classical recordings which have been distributed worldwide by a long list of major and independent music labels winning numerous awards.
Tony joins us at most of our meetings and on numerous occasions is the guest speaker giving talks on a large variety of topics.
This updated web site is dedicated to our late vice president Gordon Furneaux through the generous support of his wife Shirley.
